In response to the growth mindset story in last week’s “In the know” article, Dennis Pearce alerts to Episode 8: Growth mindset of The Studies Show. The Studies Show is a podcast from Stuart Ritchie and Tom Chivers that reviews flawed scientific studies, especially ones that lead to public misperceptions.
Stuart Ritchie is also the author of the “How growth mindset shrank” article discussed in the previous RealKM Magazine “In the know” article. His article “Science isn’t storytelling” was also discussed in another “In the know” article, and his article “Nudged off a cliff” was referenced in the RealKM Magazine article Is this finally the end of the road for nudge theory?.

The Center for Implementation
The Center for Implementation (TCI) was founded in 2018 and has been growing rapidly ever since. TCI trains, supports, and empowers individuals and organizations in applying theory and evidence-informed change methods to improve outcomes.
When people have something they want to implement, TCI helps them think about and plan for the “how-to” – things like how to overcome barriers to change, how to assess readiness and context, how to plan for adaptations, and how to sustain or expand their efforts.
What is implementation science?
Implementation science, simply put, is the scientific study of how to move ideas and innovations into action. It’s the research behind how best to implement change.
